Inquire About Print

This one-year solargraph, captured at Balm Beach on Georgian Bay, Ontario, documents the path of the sun from August 2017 to August 2018. The vibrant sun trails, created using an extemely long-exposure technique, result from sun interacting with light-sensitive black and white photographic paper over the course of a year. As sunlight triggers chemical reactions, rich blue, orange, and purple hues emerge resulting in a unique depiction of time, light, space and place.
